Christina Zhang has more than 10 years of teaching experience in classical piano performance. Under the guidance of her father, a well known composer in China and abroad, she began playing the piano when she was four years old. Studying mostly with international piano competition winner, Luo Wensu, she has performed widely as a solo concert pianist, and also as an accompanist.

After winning many piano competitions in China, she moved to the States at seventeen and began to study piano performance on the east coast with Russian Pianist, Dr. Bella Oster. A piano performance scholarship at Lewis & Clark College brought her to Porltand, Oregon, where she continued her study with Dr. Susan Smith. Christina Zhang has played many concerts in Portland, and has also accompanied the Vancouver Children's Opera. She is the founder of Music from Within, a school that specializes in performance, technique, and artistry for both children and adults.
